Culture pour tous and UQAM’s Department of Social and Public Communication hit a home run when they joined forces to organize an innovative symposium on the contribution of art and creative processes to the renewal of management practices. The event took place December 5 and 6, 2011, and brought together 25 guest speakers from Québec, France, Switzerland, Italy and Finland.
In an era where personal balance is valued and sought to an ever-greater degree, and in which organizations’ capacity for change is a crucial issue, content addressing the value of the arts in the business world is of greater and greater interest to researchers, artists, managers and consultants. The proof: more than 100 participants took part in the event’s lectures, workshops and artistic performances!
These issues are of prime concern to Culture pour tous, which aims to encourage people’s participation in culture by bringing artists and creative processes into everyday life, including the work environment. In developing its Culture In Business project, Culture pour tous will continue its work to document and showcase the impacts of artistic initiatives in the workplace, and its efforts to create a Québec-wide and international network that brings together partners from every sphere of activity in society.
