The curtain goes up on Michel Tremblay. Theatre, flamenco, neighbourhood tours… myriad ways to revisit the classic works by the well-known playwright. An opportunity to rediscover the fabulous world captured in the novels and plays of Quebec’s most famous playwright, Michel Tremblay, who will be present throughout the day. Preview of his latest novel, La traversée du continent, with the reading of an excerpt. Performances in around twelve languages of an excerpt from Les Belles-Soeurs; songs based on his musical comedies; improvisations based on his watercolour paintings; and the writing of short plays inspired by his work. As well, activities presented by students and recent graduates of the NTS that offer an idea of what it’s like to attend a theatre school. On the program: presentation of the play L’Échange by Paul Claudel, directed by Denis Bernard, or an open rehearsal of L’Orestie by Eschyle, directed by Alice Ronfard. Information: www.ent-nts.qc.ca.
