Three days to use your best ingredients to tempt and whet the public’s appetite.

Since 1997, the Journées de la culture have brought the artistic and cultural milieus together throughout Quebec. In recent years, municipalities have also mobilized to celebrate culture. For this 14^th edition of the Journées de la culture we wish to broaden the call for participation to new production partners and to thereby keep spreading the taste for culture. For this reason, we are also inviting the education and business sectors to join the artists, craftspeople cultural and municipal workers who have made the Journées the most important cultural democratization movement in North America.

Driven by its mission to contribute to the democratization of culture in Québec, Culture pour tous is an independent non-profit organization that instigates and carries out initiatives that encourage access to and participation in creative and cultural activities, among which the most important and well known is the Journées de la culture.

* On June 17, 1997, in response to demands by the cultural milieu, the Quebec National Assembly unanimously adopted a special motion designating the last Friday of September and the two following days as: "Journées nationales de la culture" (National Culture Days).
