Culture pour tous launches the interactive Cultural Logbook
A Web-based learning tool for elementary schoolchildren and their teachers

.

Carnet de la cultureGrade 4, 5 and 6 students and their teachers now have access to their own personal Cultural Logbooks on the Web at www.carnetdelaculture.ca (in French only / not yet available in English). Previously available only in print form, the Logbook is now an interactive pedagogical tool that aims to raise awareness of the arts and culture among young people. The Logbook is a fun, informative notebook that schoolchildren can use all year long to learn about the arts and culture, make their own artistic creations and record their cultural discoveries. Around fifty games related to dance, music, drama and visual art are offered, along with a Teachers’ Corner and an extensive listing of Web resources. The Logbook is a helpful tool to facilite the integration of the arts and culture in schools.

Take the guided tour to find out more!

Teachers who sign up no later than April 30, 2008, will have a chance to win $500 to carry out a cultural activity with their students. For more information about the contest, click here.

The interactive Cultural Logbook was made possible with the support of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation and the community investment program at TELUS.
