Youth in the spotlight

Young people between the ages of 15 and 24 account for almost a million people across Quebec. All these young people have very distinct life paths and identities, but they all participate in their own way in making our province’s culture shine.

This youth campaign is part of the Plan pour consolider, faire briller et propulser le milieu culturel, under the responsibility of the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications.

The aim of this project is to highlight young people’s view of culture. They are the ambassadors of tomorrow’s culture, and the content they create on a daily basis is already helping to nurture and promote it.

Cultures-tu? is a social space dedicated to youth culture. It’s a platform for young people to express and promote the ways in which they participate in the production and celebration of culture here.

Through the portraits of inspiring young people, all generations will gain a better understanding of how 15-24 year-olds perceive and engage with Quebec culture. The project aims to reflect the realities of Quebec, its territories, its people and, of course, its youth. That’s why it’s inspired by encounters, testimonials and the vision of culture held by the younger generation.

By following in the footsteps of our 3 ambassadors, Xavier Watso, Camille Felton and Richardson Zéphir, the young people selected will raise awareness and recognition of Quebec culture, while demonstrating that culture is shaped by an inspired next generation.
